could someone send me a picture of this "gourami" thing? never ever seen one or heard of one....at least i don't think i have. i've been to alot of pet stores and fish stores and etc, but i don't recall any gourami's

No gourami's? They might have to be one of the most popular freshwater fish out there. (Some might disagree.)

I LOVE our opaline gourami....gotta be one of the prettiest I've seen! We also have a blue and a lavender gourami

odd.....i've seen these fish plenty of times but i don't recall ever hearing that name.

There are well 30+ different types and species of gourami, all different sizes, shapes and colors. Some of the common ones are on this link. Oh, and my last pic in my sig is a gourami! Very nice fish.
