Hi

I have noticed a sort of cist type lump on my gourami today, he is still swimming around ok, but obviously I am concerned. I have had him for about 3 months his mate died just over a week ago, his fins looked as though they had been bitten etc. I also have in the tank, 3 danios, 2 cherry barbs, 2 sucker loaches, and a red tail shark. I think the one sucker loach (which is huge) had attacked the now dead gourami. Any ideas what I can do for the living gourami?

Thanks

Size of tank in gallon or litres.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

You have some fin nippers in your tank, they will pick on a sick fish.
Can you issolate him.
The lump is it soft like filled with puss or hard looking.
Does the lump have any redness to it.
Does the lump look like a cauliflower.
Where is the lump on the fish.

The lump is red looking, and looks a bit like a cauliflower, bit like a sore? it's located on hi left side of his body. Tank is 90 litres, just done a water change and various water stats are all fine. I dont have another tank to isolate him, what can I get to add to the water to iad recovery?

Thanks

You will need a bacterial med.
Is it possible to buy a little hospital tank.
Red tail sharks need 40 gallon tanks.

The gourami is a dwarf type, as for buying another tank, with the crdeit crunch etc I cant afford it at the moment. What sort of bacterial med do I need, is there a name for it?

Thanks

Uk anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
United States marcyn plus.
I would do a search on dwarf gourami plague just to rule it out.
