my dwarf gourami has some sort of growth on the left side of its face, its located on a dot that is naturally i think its swollen like humas get swolen glands mayb is this possible?
Need more info
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.
Can you load a pic up on the forum so we can take a look.
Can you describe the growth abit more, what colour is it, hard or soft to the touch, does it look like it filled with puss.
Does it have a circling dead skin around it.
Gouramis are prone to bacterial infections and with the swelling is sounds bacterial but still need more info.
erm okay its a 65 litre, 2 clown loaches, 4 zebra danios, 3 cories.
do not have stats as im a student and cant afford to get one and tbqh ive never had a problem . your probably all fromwining now because i just said that but yer
i do not no if the growth is soft to the touch as i darnt cath it and poke it
it is white
it has dead skin circling it
Also i really would get a water test kit, its an essential piece of Tropical fish keeping. Saying you cant afford isnt an excuse hat washes tbh as you can pickup basic test kits for under £20 which is pennies when you compare to the cost of setting and running a tank. Plus now the "tbh ive never had a problem dont work either "
The tank is way to small for clown loaches even when little shouldn't be in less than a 40gal.
I would take a sample of your water to the lfs and tell them to write the readings down for you,
as i doubt the water quality is good.
The lump sounds bacterial with the dead skin around it.
Gourami are very prone to bacterial infections, and need excellent water quality.
i didnt perticuly want the clown loach however i had a snail infestetion and well they are really my friends. Im giving them back soon like in the next week.
