Gourami, Hiding?

my gourami dont like to swin around, they jus hide or stay at the bottom like there sleeping and freak out at the slightest outside tank movement

Do you have any densely planted areas in the tank? How many gallons is it and what is your stocking?

what kind of gouramis? if its a dwarf of some sort ive noticed that they(in many instances) take a very long time to feel comfertable in a tank and often seek isolation and are not very active. Or if this is a gourami that has been i a tank for a while and is changing to this, ive noticed that they perk up after water changes.

my gouarmis are very sensitive to motion outside the tank it seems. my goldens swim around, the female is relegated to the plants for the most part.

the dwarfs tended to sit idly in the plants a lot; i guess its normal for them
