My Indian Gourami has Ich what should I do?

TekFish :good:

What medicine did you get? You going to raise the temperature aswell?

I would probably treat the whole tank as most of the medicines (check leaflet to be sure) do not harm the filter bacteria. Your Plec should be alright, but you might want to try him on a half dose first.

I am coming to the end of an Ich outbreak in my larger tank (thank god). I treated with JBL Punktol which has worked well and raised the temp. My Plecs and Pictus were all ok with the full dose.

The one I got doesn't affect filter bacteria, plants and doesn't harm scaleless fish.

He's also got these black blotches except they look like they're inside him, are these the parasites?

Put the temperature up in the tank as the ich life cycle speeds up and at 30 most strains will die off. Treat the whole tank, not just the ones who are visibly infected, with an ich medication. Also if you can, add aquarium salt, a half dose if you have scaless fish like cories loaches or plecs. The ich really doesn't like salt.
