Gourami Behavior?

ive got a few gourami and 2 blue paradise fish and ive noticed that the gourami press up against eachother head to tail either with the gourami or the paradise. is this behavior a sort of courtship?

they are in a 20 gallon tank with 4 gourami, 1 angel, 2 blue paradise, a male betta, 2 fish i have no idea what they are called, 2 cleaner shrimp and an african ropefish but sadly it died a couple hours ago. all the fish seem to get along exept with this odd behavior

Holy Mackerel that sounds like it is WAAAY over stocked. I had 3 paradise, and 3 gouramis in a 20 gallon, I had to do very frequent water changes. I strongly suggest drastically cutting down on the amount of fish in your tank, or else you will have more fish start dieing.
