In the past i have had some fish go down to ich and other parasites in a matter of 2-3 days. These guys are straight warriors in my opinion. I had 8 barbs, 3 yo-yo loaches, 1 rfbs, 1 bulldog plec, 1 common plec who all had a epidemic of ich and whitespot. I lost one barb (strangly showed no signs of it at death). The loaches who have shown the most of the ich, are all still living and fighting it well and i think are doing better (still showing spots so keeping up temp and treatment till gone). The rest are all spot free. One barb in particular, i tried catching and putting him down humanily. Well low and behold, i couldnt catch him in my tank due to size and hiding spots so i let him stay to try and fight it all. He is looking 200% better showing more and more color as the days go. Keep in mind this was the smallest tiger barb in the tank and was almost pale and floating at one point. Just wanted to share my story of my fighters agianst ich and how much it amazed me at how hard they try to stay alive and not just give up. Sounds corny, but when you see something near death come back with everything its got and start schooling and acting normal agian it is a pretty amazing piece of nature to witness i must say.
