I went to LFS and saw that they started stocking on bettas again.
In a 55 gallon there were about 60 female bettas!
It looked pretty cool and I was happy with what they did because all the other fish stores have them in half filled cups.
Anyway some looked like the wild type so I picked out 3 wild looking ones and 2 red/blue, and 2 1" spotted Raphaels.
I put them all in a 15 gallon with live plants and a cave and seems they are starting the pecking thing.
They are such cool fish and have wonderful colors.
I have plans to breed the prettiest one with my brothers male in a couple months.
Once I find my camera I'll post some pics.

cool!I cant wait to see pics, You should probably get 1-2 more as they are known to not do so well in any groups smaller than 4, and did you cycle the tank at all, becasue adding that many fish at once can cause a spike in ammonia so i would monitor your levels if i were you daily for a week or so. and i think a rapheal might easily out grow a 15 gallon soon though

Good luck with your new fish! its always great when you get new bettas!

Wow I wish all the pet stores around me kept their Bettas in better conditions like that, can't wait to see them!!!

I have five going to be six females in my 30g and they are sooo loving they all sit at the front stare at me and wiggle when they see me

My old betta used to do that
Good luck with your female bettas

Sadly he died at 2 years,he was my first fish

For some reason my Raphaels seem more diurnal than nocturnal,
Anyone else find that weird?

They're always asserting dominance.
I'd say it becomes an uneasy truce.
As long as your tank is well planted with plenty of hiding spaces, you shouldn't get any real aggression.
With mine it's a case of a quick flare & body posturing which sorts out any disputes

Ok thx
They seemed to have stopped for the time being
Hopefully they won start again
Thx again

They have some ripped fins should I leave them alone or put in some medications.
They are not too bad.
Also I'll be posting some pics soon.
