Got myself some moonlight LEDs so I can view the tank during the evening (main lights at 12pm - 8pm). Quite happy with them.....except the adhesive strips they came with which dropped the lights into the water over night! £10 from fleabay.

The lights, with variable voltage settings for brightness....

WOWSERS!

I've been thinking about these for some time.... were they expensive? and how long do you think they'll last?

Well all mine are over a year old, I have cold cathodes though. I did kill one of the cathodes in my car when I got the inverter wet with the hose. They should last a long time. However it sounds like these are mounted directly over the water with no condensation tray or lid between the lights. High humidity can really shorten the life of any light.

£13 delivered from eBay. There are LOADS of them on there, lots of different options. I went for these because there are 4 brightness/voltage settings.

No idea how long they will last....
