I have been having untol trouble with my Danio, Via a previous post.
my treatments would not work,
I decided to buy some methalyne blue, I sadly dont have a hospital tank as its occupied while i set up my new tank rig,
and my tank has plants in it, I can remove the plants (most of) but I know this will trash my biological filter. I have 22.2gal tank with

3 neon tetras ( i know i need more buy im holding off for good reasons)
1 danio (saved from work so need another)
1 bristle nose catfish

should I not worry to much because there is alot of water space for the stocking that I shouldnt have a build up..

I have an eheim 2236

thanks for any help.

I plan to add it tonight as matey has stopped eating..

i treat my water with the plants in it.. but if only one fish is sick and it hasnt spread, then u should put him in some sort of hospital tank

two of them are affected. but im worried about it messing my filter up, and thats whats methalyne blue does. and also kicks the heck out of plants apparently.

Decided to hook my filter up to my 2nd tank to try and keep it alive.
so I'll have no filter. Hopefully I wont have a problem...

When I was younger, I used to help my Dad with his fish, sometimes when he used Meth Blue, he used to fill an ice cream tub with tank water, dose it with Meth Blue, then put the fish in that for a while then take it out. It used to work for him, but it was a last resort with Meth Blue as it can kill fish that are too weak.

well, My fish had stopped eating,
and I tried other treatments to no luck,
it is a white growth on the lip and side of mouth,
the fish are find as of at the moment,
I have added air and I have 5 fish in 22.9gal so they should be okay with no filter for a week hopefully.

lol - maybe im stupid but why have you taken your filter out ?
Without the ammonia etc your filter media will start dying off....

because methalyne blue kills bacteria. and will kill my filter..
so i hoocked it up to my other tank. hopefully it will live tho...

it wont kill all your bacteria if you follow the directions, it will kill some of it but not all of it.
