i got this today to replace my 45g im going to swap them over this weekend here is how i am planning to do it. any suggestions on a better way would be much appriciated.

1. empty water from 45g into containers possibly half will have to go into bath??
2.put sand in new tank
3.fill old water into new tank and top up with new via hose pipe.

job done! lol

also would you advise using the eheim pro 2 that came with it and also my fluval 305? and i assume i will need 2 heaters?

many thanks

I would use both filters. Also, put all the old tank water in the new tank, easier on your fish. I would get another heater to heat all the extra water. I would almost put the sand in first, and then the water ( gently so you dont disturb it too much).

thanks guys

i think im getting rid of my fish and getting something bigger, maybe some oscars or something. im guessing putting old water in will speed up the process befor adding new fish

sounds good 2 me but... just be careful about using the bath 2 hold the water till u put it into ur new tank just incase theres any deturgent residue wouldnt want u 2 contaminate ur new tank after u got it soooo cheap :)and put a dapener on things :)

nice tank by the way :)
