I was at the LFS today looking at something to treat my swordies suspected columnaris. N E Ways, Of course I looked at the fish and of course I found a platy I like *sigh* He is a white male with blue on either side (so kinda white along the top and bottom and a shimmery blue along his sides)...he also has a red/orange mark above his mouth which looks like a moustache
So I had to move some fish around to fit him in. I didn't want him in the new fish tank since I have rusty cichlids in there, I didn't want him in the sick/new fish tank since I am treating a few poorly fish. I NEVER put new fish directly into my main 30gal tank, so I put him in the 6gal. Had I left it at that there would have been 2 males and one female there. I felt sorry for the poor girl so I moved the male swordy into the 30gal, moved the recovered red platy girl (who had finrot after jumping a while back) into the 6gal which gives my new boy his pick of 2 girls.
My male swordy is loving being in the 30gal and my new male is a little bit nervous with my girls. Hee, hee, I am sure that won't last long knowing any platy I have ever kept.
