Got My Self A Rescue Case

Was in the pet shop about to buy a tank when I spotted a battered and beaten little betta hiding behind a rock in a tank near by. Couldn't tell if the silver fish (didn't know or look what type they were) that it was in with were picking on it or if the male in the next tank might of hopped over at some point.

Either way it's safe now. Had me chuckling for about an hour, what a funny little character they have!

I don't know a thing about it either so any info other than 'yeah it's a fish' would be great I was told it's a female...........?

need 5 gallons minimum
needs a heater and filter
the tank will really want/need to be heavily planted with live or silk plants
they will eat hikari betta pellets some will take flakes love brinshrimp and bloodworm ocasionally and are best to be fed a shelled pea weekly as bettas often suffer from constipation

dont like strong water flow
