Got My New Tank!

Hey guys. Just bought a 180 ltr Jewel Rio from a local (used lightly; was an hours drive ¬_¬).

Basically there are a few things which need dealing with;

1 - it has some scratches on the glass. I'm considering using car windscreen cleaner, but does anyone know of any polishes or compounds that would do the trick, and more importantly, not harm any future fish?

2 - it has some paint stains on the hood. I was considering using white spirits to clean it; will this be harmful to fish if I was to thoroughly wash it after use?

NB - I wont be adding any fish for months; not until I do a complete fishless cycle!

try using toothpaste to remove the scratches as its a very mild abrasive compound and wont harm your fish if you wash your tank thoroughly afterwards,im no expert and am sure there will be others who will give you more info
