I have been waiting for about 1 1/2 months now and my friends female finaly gave birth. his tank recently got infected with some disease that killed all of his guppies so im glad I got the prego one before the plague . Is there anything specail that i should feed my babies? when should i separate them so they won't inbreed?

Congrats! Are these fish in quarantine now, just to be safe? Since your friend's tank broke out?

Anyway, as for feeding..for the first few weeks, you can either feed Liquifry, Fry food, or very finely crushed flakes. Once they get a little bigger, you can continue feeding the flakes, and I'd suggest you suppliment in some high protein foods. Freeze-dried, Frozen, or Live is fine. Those foods will make them healthier, and help them grow faster. It's best to feed 4-6 times per day when they are young, then you can go down to 2-3 times a day as they get older.

You should seperate them at about 3 months to be safe. Females have a little tiny gravid spot. But you need to check all of them very frequently, because males can look like females for a long time, then get a gonpodium and impregnate the whole tank. It should be okay the first few generations, but it's best to keep them seperate if you can. :)

How are you planning on raising them? Fry tank? Breeder net?

I'd also suggest you read the pinned topics.

congrats on the babies! if you want you can buy baby flake food which is what i go with as its more nutritional for them though in a pinch grinding regular flake food down significantly will also do fine. good luck with them! :D
