Got My Guppys

some of you might remember a previous post from me asking about a guppy breeding setup and how i only wanted to keep males ect well today i finally got my guppys, i got 2 males and 6 females and the males allready look as though they are doing to business
i just have one question, when females become pregnant how long can they be kept in a breeding net to release their young without becoming too stressed and how long can they be out and about in the tank before they can be put back in again /?

the gestation period is around 4 weeks, i personally don't reccommend breeder nets/boxes as IME has cause many stress related problems, from aborting fry to death, but if your set on the breeder don't put her in untill her stomach goes square shape which is usually a few hours before birth. good luck

When the female looks kinda squareish from the front you should think about putting her in a breeder net/box to drop and remove the fry, then leave the female in for one day so she can recover and let her back in your main tank!
