My Saulosi female seems to have given birth, the only fish that could be the father is the random fish i was never able to ID.
The mother was looking like she was holding and i came down one day to find her dead, noticed a baby hiding out in the cave which the father seems to be protecting.
I dont know if there is more then 1 but i only ever see one come out of the cave as they burrowed under the side of the cave to make a tiny crevice that the baby can squeeze into so there may be more hiding out in there.
Should i leave the fish in the tank or move it off to a tank on its own? im sure if i put a net in it will hide under the rock so i cant get to it and i dont know wether i should take the rock out incase there is other babys under it i may squash them.
The tank stocking is
1 Saulosi
2 Elongatus Mpanga
3 Aulonocara baenschi
1 Nimbochromis polystigma (i beleive it will eat the fry if it can get hold of it)
1 algae eater
1 clown loach (huge)
Shall i try and rescue it or leave it a little longer?
