Right following on from my previous thread i ordred the plants from ebay. they arrived today :) so they are sitting in a bucket of water till tommorow just as the seller advised. Took some pics of the plants so hope some of you plant experts will be able to tell me what they are and how likely they will cope with my tanks stats.

Quick reminder its a 20Gal tank
Sand
Temp = 24C
Lighting = 20W T8 Sun Glo (on a timer for 6hours per day but could be made longer if need be)
No CO2 and not getting any
No Ferts and no plants to use any

Heres what i got

The vallis one, I don't think grows well in sand.
I may be completely wrong, so don't quote me on that lol, but I do think I read somewhere that it doesn't grow well if sand gets in between its leaves, which is hard to avoid in a sand tank lol

Numbers 4, 10 and 11 I have grown in sand and they grew really well :)

Thanks, that gives me something to google for some of them. I've got a feeling ill be re planting them almost every day as planting in sand is hard. is there any there that i shouldn't bury the ribosomes(sp?) what ever they are lol

Well all planted up, Tank loooks just messy with plants but time will tell what takes and what dies off. quite liking the planty look though so may look into ferts if they are worth while? anyone know what plant 12 is? i had it when i had a gravel substrate and it grew like madbut died off in the sand:(

Well so far 21rm you were right the vails look to be on their last legs and 10 and 11 are growing nicely so is 12 and 1. The angles are doing there best to keep pulling the plants out every few days and keep destroying the leavy ones so don't know ho wmuch longer they will last
