got another 20 gallon tank today

the man that I bought it from just took it down and didnt clean it out or nothing I need to know what I can use on the tank to clean it with because I want to set it up pretty fast I have two black moors that need more space soon. Like yesterday would that be enough to keep them happy for a little while I am running out of room in my house for all the tanks that I have I dont know what to do not unless I get about a thousand gallon tank and get rid of the rest of the tanks.

Is this a new tank, fish keeper sharks and mollies? Is it dirty in some unusual way?

If you have no reason to believe that it is contaminated in some way, a soft sponge and some uniodinized table salt will do the job. Rinse well.

i have 48 gallon tank 4ft and wanted balla sharks was told not to have them

i read wot you have

20 gallon long it has 1 angel fish, 1 pleco, 1 rainbow shark, 1 black shark ,3 bala sharks,1 male molly


3 bala they grow around 14 inches each 46inches of fish

dont no about the others but ill find out more i loveeeee sharks

can you or any 1 advice me on a shark for 4ft tank AND NOT A RTBS

the sharks you have i.e rainbow sharks get fairly big 6 inches and can be very agresive

and should only have 1 per tank
the same as rtbs


are they all in 20 gallon tank how long is it ??

You can also use a diluted vinager solution to cleanse the tank. I dont know all that much about moors but they should be ok in a 20g. Of course you could go ahead and buy that 1000g and send all the others to me .

thanks for the advice all I thought mabey I can use salt but I wanted to make sure. And thanks fishand chips I know this already I have tanks that is plenty bigger enough for all of my sharks the tanks that they are in now is only until I get my other tanks ready the only shark that I am worried about housing is the irredecent shark I might have to take him back because I dont have a place to keep that little buger yet and they way he is growing I cant afford to buy another one that fast. I got him about four months ago he wasnt even a inch long now he is almost 9 inches long. And the same goes for the black shark he is almost a foot long now.They have took a good growing spell I hope they stay healthy till I get all of them in thier new homes.        Once again,

i have 50 gallon and was told not to even get 1 bala or silver black shark

thay all grow to 14-16 inches over ft long

how big are your tanks im thinking of selling my 4ft buying 8 to keep a rainbow shark or somthing

so thought that can only be rnd 6ft

the other is 4half ft long would need a seiously biggg tank

Size:

Iridescent Sharks can reach a length fwerwer of up to 52 inches. This fish is not recommended (wonderfulllll) for the beginner simply because of this fact. I have seen way too many of these fish being sold in stores(today) that shouldn't be selling fish at all. They get sold to the unwary customer who thinks they're "cute" and(bahabahbah) brings them home to a 10 gallon. At this point the (hmmmm) poor fish is doomed to be a "home jumper" or die at a young age. Too many fish are sold in this manner and it should be stopped.

Because of the fish's size (hmmmmyea)I recommend (read it )at least a 400 gallon tank for only one individual. Bigger would be better. (keeeeeep going)The more room this fish has, the better.

The irridescent shark is actually not a shark at all but a catfish from SE Asia. The correct scientific name seems to be Pangasius hypophthalmus, but most of the hobby literature refers to them as P. sutchi

they grow fast and can be peacefull fish but can jump ddamn high being a shark type cat fish if makes sence has alot of power


minimum tank should be 200 gallons and not less

most lfs in north amereca seem to have these sell them to beginners
