Hi Thier,

just bought a 96L tanks came with a decent filter and heater i think and ive added gravel and tetra solution to destress the water.

im going to plant real plants i think and get a main rock peice with lots of holes in.

the main question i want to ask is what fish the things i want are:

neon tetras
pleco
kuli loach
sumthing colourful

if anyone has any suggestions about these fish and what will go well with them i would be realli grateful

another question is how do i clean the tank everyone is going to me " waste of money and time and realli hard work " im willing to put the work in and i dnt think they are a waste of money.

so could someone give me some advice on cleaning to make it more fun lol

yours gratefully

96 litres is 25 gallons - jus incase anyone wonders like i did.

in a tank that size i think id have a nice pair of dwarf cichlids or gouramis, a couple of school of tetras (about 5 of each) and then some corys for the clean up crew.

probably still room for a couple of kuhlis then or a small plec.

make sure you get a bulldog plec or a bristlenoce cos then it wont outgrow your tank.

as for cleaning... well the only bit i find tedious is when i have to scrape algae off the glass and that only happens in one tank so its not THAT bad.

i like doing water changes tho.

satisfying to do and i have to change about 70 gallons over 5 tanks.

SamUK has some nice stocking ideas. :) A tank like that shouldn't take more than an hour of maintenance weekly, probably closer to a half hour. Get a couple of large buckets & a gravel vac, the vac will double as a siphon for water changes. This week I have 15 tanks running, changing around 300 gallons out weekly. Water changes are around 3 hours, the other maintenance such as filter cleaning add a couple of more. It's not hard work, lifting a bucket is as tough as it gets.

Monetarily, buy as much as you can online, it's much cheaper.

cheers guys that is some great help thanks alot !!

what cori's would you suggest as thier are so many ????
