browsing ebay i found two parrot cichlids for sale locally. been after some for a while so thought id get these from as local breeder who took them in off a friend cos they were eating small fish. anyway they were in very good condition and bigger than any in my local shops. better still i got them both for a bargain at £8. i was also impressed with the seller as he had a small fish house so i got some small angel fish for my mothers new 125l set up. heres a video of the lovely little critters:

no offence but think these man made fish are pretty disgusting. just a fan of the originals thats all. i really dont get the fascination, what up with the caved in forehead and the mouth which cant even shut properly. oh and surely that angel shouldnt be in there even temporarily.

to be fair taking fish out of their natural environment and putting them into an aquarium isnt exactly fair is it, these fish are just ornamental as are other fish we keep. i happen to like them and i respect ur opinion that you dont. as for the angels i thought that would get flamed. dont worry though as they are still less than an inch long and i have a 500l aquarium planned where they will most likely end up.

fair enough :) yep sure they are a bargain in that case as long as you like them thats all that matters. I just think there are alot of other, more attractive cichilids out there thats all. Obviously these are one of the most popular fish out there so im sure im a minority.

I'm going to be moving this thread to the Hybrids section. The rules there are strict. IF you don't like the idea of hybrids, say nothing at all.

Good luck with your new fish, kevinjames. :)
