I have an angel fish (Altum). I don t know the scientific names well. He/she is young. I bought the fish when it was only the size of a quarter , including fins! (I have since read that this is too small of a angel to purchase...)
This fish has now , in 5 months, grown to be a very gorgeous fish. I have not seen any other angel fish in any pictures and the local fish stores that are as gorgeous as this fish. My angel's fins seem to be unusally long. His/her body is only 1 3/4 inches in diameter but its fins are huge! It must be 9" tall if it is not moving. The "fins" just infront of his/her anus, I think they are extensions of its skeleton, are 5" long or longer is this common? And its dorsal fin is about 3-4 inces long (about twice as long as other mature altum angels ive seen)
I have looked at many pics on the net and have never seen a angel with finnage this long...
I am wondering if I have an unusually nice specimen that I "should" breed...
I dont see a place to attach any pics here......I can send pics to email adresses if anyone requests.
Cheers!
