Good Tank Mates?

As I continue to think about a mbuna tank vs a peacock/hap tank, I came across a German Blue Ram. In his picture, he looks very colorful...but I wonder how colorful he really is in real life.

I was also wondering which fish would be good tank mates if we go with the german blue.

The pic is very accurate, to the point of them looking even better in real life. Unfortunantly these guys are new world cichlids and not compatible with africans. Post in the other cichlid forum for more responses
