Good Sticky Thermometer Needed

I am absolutely fed up with daily retrieving the thermometer out of the tank with my big plec in, I am looking for a thermometer with the strongest suction pad known. At the moment I have a little glass one with a sucker on and Jethro (the plec) loves playing with it and he keeps pulling it off the glass, I need something stronger. I dont like those that go on the outside. Any recommendations?

can you get digital ones with a probe inside the tank and the display outside....? im sure ive seen them!

I don't know if any thermometer can withstand the attentions of a big boisterous plec! I have found the ones with the black suckers as opposed to the clear suckers appear stronger, perhaps if you stick the suction disk above the waterline it may help, or get a digital one with a probe, I have a few and find them to be very accurate, yes those lcd ones are terrible!

I wouldnt bother with one, you stick your hands in the tank often enough to stroke him, I think you'd notice a temperature fluctuation

Really the one likely to work is as said a digital one with a probe, even then he'd probably pull it about.

The thermometer sucker bit was above the water line, he actually gets his head out of the water till he gets the top of it and uses his weight to pull it off!

I dont stroke him that often, only a little fuss in the morning when he has breakfast, then again in the evening for his tea, little tickle under his mouth before bed and twice weekly tummy tickles while he latches onto my arm for a cuddle when doing water changes.
