Good Price?

i have been offered a pair of CT's that are 5 months old for £10, was wondering what you guys thought of the price.

the lady is going to get some pictures for me, but they are both red and the male has alot of deep purple on him too.

i was thinking about giving breeding another shot so a non VT pair would be brilliant

Up here in Edinburgh they are between £2.95 and £5 for a betta.

It is usually VTs up here as well, I think I have seen two CTs in the past six months, they have been the same price though.

I bought my CT for £8 + P&P but he is a thai import so the price is a bit higher. I would say that is an acceptable price but would try and negotiate her down.

I got my male off ebay for £8 and then £8 for postage, but thing's happened and i ended up with a female for free off her too lol.

So say £8 a fish. They were CT's.

Saying that, it might attract people to breed them and im not sure if its fine to breed bro/sis's lol.

Can some one fill me in on that please?

with bettas its fine to breed siblings as long as its not too much, you can also breed baby back to parents for certain traits.

I 'spose I better not mention that I had Spike (gorgeous flame red with blue wash CT) from MA for £4.99 and 7 female VTs for £10 then had I?

But in reply to the OP, that is a fair enough price bearing in mind the going rate online these days. LFS' will be on average cheaper yes, but that's a fair deal if they are lil' stunnas!

If you like them when you get the pics go for it, thats a pretty good deal. The trouble with lfs ct's they are normally the most common colours and although they are still beautiful they lack something. To buy a male and female ct from my lfs would normally cost £8.50 so they're not much cheaper. Can't wait to see pics if you do buy them x
