Well since I got my morays I haven't seen them eat at all.

Last week I introduced orange chromides and some knight gobies.

In the first night 1 of the chromides died and was floating, i put it down to shock of moving to brackish and he was the weakest.

That day i got another 2 and when i got back there was a chromide with it's head missing.

well since then they have been disapearing 1 by 1 with no exception to last night I'm now down to 1.

I thought I would tip the morays out of there tube and lo-and-behold 1 of the morays had a funny lump in his belly.

I'll have to leave the last chromide in there, but when I'm in work tomorrow I'll get some of the baby mollies, then hopefully when there older they'll take dead.

Sorry to hear about your chromides, but at least they died for a good cause :) Really glad to hear at least 1 of them is eating now! I know you were kind of giving up hope on them, so looks like they've got good timing!

Bit of an expensive meal but the morays cost more so hopefully the other one had 1 od the previous ones.

Yeh, it was getting to the time when i think they might of starved to death, looks like i'll need to look into a bigger tank after all!!

 theres a lesson learnt, morays are extreem predators and should not be trusted with any fish under 4 inches. Orange Chromides only reach around 3 inches so are perfect snack size, if you want a brackish Cichlid go for Green Chromides which grow to around 10 inches.

i knew it wasn't ideal but i had to have a moray!! they were so cool!!

only thing is i threat for my knight gobies now.

i think i might end up with a 3x2x2 brackish tank for them.

hopefully they'll be more interested in the mollies.
