So I'm beginning to fill up my 20g with plants, I'm hoping to achieve some sort of balance between low stocking (1 betta) and lots of plants to help with water quality, though I will still do water changes. So far the plants I've added are Wisteria and Java Moss, the tank has slightly less then 2w per gallon, and every time I've put Elodea in there it's melted....

So what else can I add, that a Betta would like?

I have planted bog wood with anubias nana, java moss and java fern on and they grow like mad in low light conditions :D

Mine love mucking about in the java fern - very low maintenance and pretty. The Windelov version of it's nice too. They can be tied to bog wood but aren't suitable for planting in substrate, I think. They're the only plants that have survived for me.

See my signature for a link to a "Easy Plant List". Good stuff that a betta will love.
