As the title say, just wondering if there's any good LFS's in Swindon, or near by.

My gf's got an interview in Swindon tomorrow morning, so once I've dropped her off there I've got about 2 and half to 3 hours to kill while she (hopefully) gets the job! Is there anything much worth venturing out to look at in the area of exception, or should I just grab a copy of the Sun and read that till she comes out at lunchtime :good:

Ah thx for the goodluck message, I hope she gets it too, and also hopes she won't mind the reading to swindon commute!

I'll try and check out World of Water, hopefully it's better than the local one near me, which I used to work at in my younger days, as that place is really nothing to get excited about!

Thanks for the recommendation though, I'll check it out tomorrow!

Well in the end I only managed to locate the World of Water, couldn't find either of the Maidenhead Aquatics, although I'd not taken a map with me and was rather 'using the force' to blindly search around the rough areas of swindon I'd seen their locations on their website.

Was impressed with the World of Water in Swindon though! As previously said, I used to work for my local world of water, so didn't go with high expectations, but was suitably impressed! Was easy to find, had a nice selection of tanks, and quite a variety of species in tanks. Even had an Arowana in one of the tanks, understandably not cheap tho! But overall had nice set up there in the tropical section. Not a massive place, but quite a few tanks packed in, with no dying or dead fish to be seen. As it's less than 45mins for me on the motorway, think i'll definately be popping up there if my local maidendhead doesn't have in stock what i'm after. Only dissapointing part was the lack of plants there, very small selection and didn't look overly healthy. Had some java fern & moss things on various things such as small bits of wood, and half-cocunut shells, but seemed very overpriced for what they were.
