I bought Java moss awhile ago and some was green, other parts brown. The green was growing good, but brown not. So today I trimmed the green, cut out alot of brown and put the green trimmings in where the brown was (fishing lined to slate) Will those clippings start to grow too? Now, there is less brown Moss, but the slate also has more bare spots. Was this a good idea?

Thanks
