Good Freshwater Plants

hey,
i was wondering what some good freshwater plants would be to put in my 30 gallon tank i currently have 1 betta, 2 RTS, 2 plecostamos, 1 leopard gourami and 1 dwarf and 5 platys. :)

It really depends on what conditions your setup has.
If you have simple lighting then hardy plants such as Java fern, Java moss and Anubias
will do well. These plants will also survive with Plecostomus species present (depending on the species).
If you have hard water Vallis species will do well.

If you have strong lighting, CO2 and a nutritous substrate then you can keep pretty much any plant,
although your plecs will chew through must soft leaved species.
 
i havent got a clue about plants, i added live plants to all my tanks and they all have grown and survived well. ive nevered added anything extra like CO2 or ferts. just planted and left. am i lucky or what.i guessed if they died i would replace them.only cheap at my fish shop. i dont know the names of many plantys, but i do have a amazon sword, a tall wavy plant, spicky grass like plant,java moss, java fern and moss balls. the only plants that have seens to die on me more often are the "furry" type ones.they often mault then brak up compleatly.
