Good Fish Combination

I just have a 10 gal. aquarium, will be upgrading it to a 55 in the next few months,... and I just want to know what sort of fish could go with what I have. I have 2 silver dollars (Metynnis hypsauchen), and 1 dinosaur eel, (Polypterus palmas). They have all 3 been together longer than a year, and I don't want anything to, you know, kill them. What I really would like is a black ghost knife, (Apteronotus albifrons).
If anybody could help me out on this, thank you!

10 gallons not big enough even temporarily before you get new fish get a new tank

I agree......the $10 $20 bucks you spend of fish could go for a tank.....say a 29 gal.....they are cheap.
