Hey, as my username suggests - my name is Mike.
I'm new to FishForum sort of by accident.
I've been keeping tropical fish (just the normal type, catfish/clownfish/guppies/harlequin etc) for around a year now, with great success (although my plant efforts have been slightly less successful).
On new years day (2006->7), my Juwel Heater (200w) broke whilst I was out celibrating with my friends, resulting in the temperature increasing to off-the-scale amounts, essentially 'frying/cooking' all of my fish
So I signed up and was searching the forum to see if anyone else had the same problem. It seems not
I'm a little unsure if I'd like to start again (was/is rather sad), but I've pretty much decided that I'm going to try with a planted tank & some discus this time.
I have a Juwel Trigon 190 Beech and hopefully soon..a planted tropical tank.
