Good Bye Skippy and Zues!

I unfortunatly found my favorite otto, Skippy, caught in the filter. He sadly passed away that night so I thought I'd share this picture of him. He had a beautiful tail which looked like a lyretail.

awww Sasha! DO SOMETHING WITH THAT FILTER!!!!! he's killing all of your favorites fishies!! and that aint fair!! im sorry to hear about it but im so sure they had a lovely life with you and the loved you !

again do something with that damn filter!!!!!!!

I tried to cover the intake tube of the filter with a net, but it slowed down the water flow so I had to remove it. I even wrote to the company and explained my probelms to them, but they just apologized and offered me a few suggestion to try to avoid this problem. Sooner or later, I'll find a solution. I have lost about a dozen fish to the filter in my two years in fish keeping.

May I suggest trying a different kind of filter?

What kind are you using at the moment?
