Good Betta Friends

I have a 2.5 Gallon tank, and was wondering what would be a good companion for my Betta?

Shrimp if your betta decides they aren't on the menu. A snail will work but they are very messy and will make the tank dirty fast. Malaysian trumpet snails are small they and are my favorite but they are on the menu until they get big enough. I keep most of my bettas alone only a couple actually have snails in their tanks.

if by friend you meant another fish, then none.

2.5 gallon is far too small to put another fish in with the betta. Also betta's are quite terrotorial fish, and will almost certainly attack any other fish is such close quarters.

Yeah, even in a 5 gallon, if your other fish decides to be territorial, they'll get thier fins kicked. My female betta took out my territorial balloon molly and pretty well crippled him. So, in a 2.5 its pretty well a nono, especially with a male.

Even in a 5 gallon, i wouldn't really suggest it.
