well surly posting this in the correct forum will result in the right responses.

Gold fish grow to around 6" and even larger if you count the tail length and given the right conditions they grow very rapidaly.

Well one of the mods will surly mose it soon to the correct forum so dont worry, but you can soon lurn and it's good to join in.

For each goldfish u need at least 12" square of surface area, so make sure u have enough room for your fish.

Goldfish grow very large. That is why people don't like fisherman using them as bait. If they get off the hooks, they take over other fish environments, because they eat just about anything and handle some of the harshest water conditions.

How large a goldfish grows depends on the variety. Non-fancy varieties of goldfish like comets and common goldfish can easily grow to over 12inches long (no kidding i have seen common goldfish up to 2ft long), while most fancy varieties of goldfish will grow between 6 and 8inches long depending on the exact variety.
If you don't give your goldfish enough space though, you'll end up stunting their growth, which can have bad consequences on their health, life expectancy and quality of life. A lot of people do not realise how larger tanks so many goldfish need, goldfish may be cheap to buy and feed, but they can be very expensive when it comes to affording them a large enough tank to live permanently in.

Yeap, what everybody else says. If it's a fancy, you'll need to upgrade to a twenty gallon if you haven't already, preferably 30... if it's a common, you'll need a pond.
