yes, living in higher temps will weaken they're immune system, it's ok short term if you just need a quick fix but long term it will shorten they're life. also they may not be compatible with many fish, they will probably eat aquairum plants and they're very very messy so can mess up your water parameters

My dad's had goldfish that lived several years in a relatively peaceful community tank with tropicals - of course the tank was on the cool side for a tropical. As long as you don't have any agressive fish and the right amount of space, you can keep the goldfish in. The down side is a shortened lifespan tho...
