Is this possible to put 2 goldfish in a tropical tank with guppies and mollies?

My girlfriend has these goldfish currently in a bowel type tank and she has had them for 2 years and do quite well, But what would happen if they was placed into the tropical tank?

Thanks!

I had both at the same time years ago. I was advised not to put them together. Goldfish are a relatively cold water fish that are pretty "messy". Tropicals prefer a warmer setting. Chances are the goldfish would starve the others as they eat a ton all the time. (my experience) Other tthan that, I'm sure there are more experienced people here that can give you other reasons for or against.

i have had a black moor in my tropical tank for about six months now. in my experience they will eat a lot more due to their increased metabolism. It is also i am told will reduce their lifespan. It is also very true that their waste in the tank increases greatly. My black moor adds loads to the waste of my tank and i have to do a lot of work to keep up with him. I would worry with two goldfish in the tank, one is enough hard work for me. I also only have experience with my black moor so my experience only goes that far. best of luck..

They might also get too large for your tank (although, of course, it'll be ten times better than being stuck in a bowl) depending on what kind of goldies they are, leaving you overstocked and they might eat your guppies.

If they're single tailed goldfish, they really need to go into a pond; if they're fancy, twin tailed goldies they ought to have a 100/120l tank, on their own.

I did hear that goldfish do more waste when they are in warm water also they might eat the guppie and im think if i should put my guppy fry in the main tank :good:
