Hello,
I wanted to know if guppies, goldfish and channel cat can mix if I keep water at 70 degrees.
Its a planted tank. not co2 injected.
tank size: 55 gallons+two filters
lion head goldfish:2
koi: 1 "will be put into a pond soon"
number of channel cats: 1
guppies: 0 "have not got them yet"
I know the cat will eat baby guppies but I want to use guppies as feeders anyways. Also I read that
channel cats like temps 70-85 and goldfish like 70- so I WAS THINKING that 70 degrees would be a good
temp for them to live healthy lives... I attempted to keep water at 75 degrees but my lions heads seem
to breath faster and dont like it so I stettled with 70.
ALL comments help and will be appreciated.
plus any comments on what I currently have in the tank will be nice.
THANK YOU! :)

As we said in the coldwater forum that channel cat will grow huge and is not suitable to be kept with Guppies or any small fish. I would put it your koi pond but even then there is a risk it will eat the koi if it gets truly huge. Guppies can be kept with goldfish although I wouldn't advise it as guppies are food for large goldfish it depends on the environment they are kept in. My comets and shubukins ignored the guppies but they were well fed on a very varied diet (2 types of flake food, Vegetables, Seafood, 4 types of live food, house insects and anything that fell in the pond)

My female guppy has been pregnant since around December 29th and she looks like shes going to burst! Will she have her fry soon? The males especially today have been giving her alot of attention though.
