I brought the male and female (was told by the LFS) on Sunday. Introduced them, no real problems but my kissing gourami was chasing them round a bit, but he was doing that to all of them.
They both seemed to be eating, the smaller one maybe seeming a little shyer than the other. This morning I noticed it was not present when feeding, I did a little look around and found it sat in a corner looking a little sorry for itself and much less colourful. It then swam up to the top of the tank and just sat there at the surface. To get a closer look and keep it safe from nips I popped it into my brooding pen with a pit of pipe to hide in and some food. Did not eat anything and I notice the base of one pectoral fin was quite red.
I did a small water change yesterday lunch time, only 25l in a 200l tank. The water had been treated with stress coat and left to sit for about 14 hours. I have not tested the water as I did not have time this morning but will this evening.
Just wondered if there are any suggestions?
Thanks,
Adam
