hi can any1 just confirm if my golden ram is a male or female, i believed it was a female but i need a 2nd opinion b4 i get another mate for him/her!?

Lovely Ram very vibrant colors,
Ca't see if it has 2 spikes on the beginning of the dorsal fin. but looks female as the end of the dorsal is rounded(or is that jst the Pic)
 
ill post two more.....


what sex should i get next? to pair up with the one in my tank? i did buy another one to pair them up but it got constantly harassed by the fish in the picture who was bought on his own

It looks female from the shape BUT the only way to truly sex a ram is for you to give us a shot of its vent. The sexual organ underneath the body near the tail.

If it pointed and points backward then its male and if it is blunt and points more downward then it is female.

Females can show characteristics of males like extended tail dorsal rays!!!!

I am guessing female because of the shape of its head which is more rounded whereas the male has a similar to human 'ridge' above the eyes but this could be the picture.
