I have 6 pencilfish that are pretty cool. Just wondering what they are doing when they hover side by side, real close facing the same way and "kissing/biting" each other? They're pretty hard to sex so I don't know if it's two boys or a boy and a girl.
Also one in the tank has deep red throughout (only at certain times of the day) and the others only limited red. He (?) is bigger than the rest. Does this show his dominance or will the others get redder as they get bigger?
