This topic has probably been repeated before, so sorry

I was wondering if 2 Opaline Gourami's will mix with my Golden Gourami, ive heard different advice to these species so i would appreciate your thoughts.....Cheers

Golds and opalines - like cosby, platinum, blue and lavender gouramies - areall exactly the same species - that is Trichogaster trichopterus, the 'three-spot' gourami. They are exactly the same behaviour-wise. the difference is purely color.

What size tank and what sexes are your current fish? Idealy, add two female three-spots (irrespective of color). +Tthey don't usually do well in twos anyway - so adding two more to your current couple would be a good idea. If your tank is at least 30 gallons, the four will be ok - but make sure the new fish are about the same size as the existing two and avoid males.

Ive just got a pair of female Opalines this mornig (they are really beautiful!!) But ive had to move my Goldens after they began a arguement with the Shark, but these 2 have settled in perfectly, even i know it's early days. Im crossing my fingers though :look:
