About a month or so ago I bought a pair of Golden Australe killies. At the store, they were happy, and swam around with great delight. Now, in my twenty gallon tanks, which is at 65 Fahrenheit (yes, the need warmer, am buying a NEW HEATER today to replace the stupid old one, which quit it's job)They are in the tank with one sparkling gourami. The filter is rather noisy (yes, I will try to make it be quiet) and the lighting is very disagreeable. Some days it is bright, and the next day it goes kaput.
Here are my questions:
1) Why do I always end up with crumby equipment for my tanks?
2)Why are my fish afraid, and what can I do to make them as happy and vibrant as they were in the store?
3) Why me?
