Gold Severum Acting Strange

Hey all new to the forum and hoping use can help me out.

I have a 6ft tank approx 70 gallon

I currently have a gold severum about 2 and a half inchs and he has started to hang around in the top left corner of my tank just about the heater and is half on his side.

he does how ever come out when food in the tank and seems active and swims straight.

I did just recently re arrange the tank and heavly planted it and added new caves/rocks.

also i had a big black angel he seemed to hang around with and it just died too.

Does any1 have any ideas would be apprecated. CHEERS

Sounds bacterial at the moment, can the fish maintain its balance, what do you feed the fish.
Does the fish look bloated, and can you say what colour it is when the fish goes to the toilet.
Has the fish darkened in colour or gone pale.

Hey the fish has lost balance. Starting to think swim bladder gone.

i have just started using spectrum but before that was JBL flakes

dosnt seem any paler has started to get stripes but Which i found strange cause he had them when young and lost them but geting them back.

can't comment on the colour of poo havn't seen any

dosn't look bloated

I know some fish can get stress stripes, is the fish still eating try some frozen peas on him, boil for a few minutes, let cool down, pop out of shell, and mushed between fingers and add to the tank.
If he's really bloated an epson salt bath might help.

he isnt bloated at all.

his fins are starting to go pale whitey colour

He needs treating then with a bacterial med, don't forget to increase aeration in the tank, good luck.

is your tank overstocked? or is it not been properly cycled...
hmm pale-going fish and hanging near the top can be amonia poisoning.... i sugest you check your levels quickly next chance u get...
are their any physical changes? like lumps or cuts? swolen areas etc.

it a 300 litter tank all levels are good amonia on 0 and plenty of air ration.

i dont think the tank over stocked it has

2 common plecos
1 red tail shark
2 small clown loaches
1 black goast knife
some neons glowlights and rummy nose
4 corys
2 sucking cats

he seems to have gotten some balance back

What meds would you suggest.
i am also in Australia

sorry the filter is an ehim cainister 1200 l/h
