gold ram

hi,
my gold ram had a big white lump not rele white but creamish on his sidi thikn its his left well hes had it since i got him about 2 weeks ago and me being nieve thinking it would fix itself did nothing. hes happy and healthy but just now i noticed that he now has small white specks on his fins and tail. what should i treat him with and would a 1 gallon container be fine for temporary quarantine?

please help!

the lump on his side could possibly be a tumor. has the color changed of it any? is the fish eating well, color good, active?

as far as the specks on his fins, do they look like grains of salt? what are the parameters of your water?

he is very colorful healthy except for the tumor and specks. he is active and he eats. the specks look like salt but smaller the lump has been on him since i got him. i now believe it is ich. i have not checked my parameters in a while
