Gold Nugget Pleco

i recently bought a gold nugget pleco, in my new tank that has only been running for over a week. I am feeding him sinking algae wafers. knowing that they are nocturnal eaters should i leave the wafer in over night and remove what is left int he morning. or take the wafer out after a few hours or what?

i have a common pleco in my tank and becouse it is a big tank it takes him ages to find the algae wafer so all i do is put it in before i go to bed and leave it thier until he find it usally around 3 in da aftanoon next day but thy do eventually find them.

genrally i dnt take them out becouse if the pleco doesnt eat it my corys have a nibble lol

np mate jst so u kno u may loose him in the tank i keep loseing mine and think hes dead and lost but thier thy jst hide like anything lol

it concernts me your tank has only been running a week. did you cycle it? if not you may loose your pleco as your tank cycles, they're not the best fish to cycle with.

ye he shud be ok mine is fine hes been in two weeks jst make sure the tank is hevily understocked so tht the ammonia doesnt rise onli make sure it has plenty of wafers becsue their is no algae for the little guy to to eat
