Gold Gourami?

I got two gold gourami's for my 29 glalon tank.

I know they get to be about 6" long but how long will that take?
They seem to be very scared of movment, does that means their is something wrong?
What can be kept with them? I am looking for dwarfs or something, maybe some harlyquins? maybe paradice gouramis?

I dunno.. I am a gourami noob. I jsut know I have all their reading at their prefered levels.

I have a gold gourami, and he has quite a personality on him. He is kept with several different community fish. We did have a paradise gourami but he got a tumor

The gold gourami's are cool, but then ours seems to be the "boss" of the tank. Also, we had dwarf gourami's but they died aswell, one of no apparent reason and the other of internal parasites.

i have one. it hasnt gotten to 6" though. more like 4.5 and its full grown. He used to chase around my severum a lot but now the severums much bigger
