Gold Gourami Last Bouyancy, Help!

One of my gold gouramis has started acting really weird. Earlier it was just sitting on the bottom and i started worrying. Then just now it was balancing tail first on a plastic plant, it did it a few times, like it was using the plant to support itself, it then sank to the bottom and is just laying looking like its dying.

He died shortly after, he was over 3 years so maybe it was just his time to go.

It was very sudden, water stats are fine though and all the other fish are doing well so i don't know what could've caused it.

Would that kill him? I never got the chance to feed it anything,are my other fish at risk now?
