Going To Pick Out Some Plants...

I am going to the city next week, which is about 2 and 1/2 hours away. I am going to Petland, and I want some suggestions for plants for a beginner. I want to buy lots of plants, because I won't be making another trip for awhile. What are some nice plants, that are fairly easy to care for? I want quite a few plants, but not completely filled up. Thanks.

Ok, it says 20 watts. But, it also says it is a Marine Glow. Do I even have the right light? :?
