Been reading up on doing a fishless cycle as posted by a fellow member and it says you need extra aeration via an air stone or air pump, was going to add plants before i start a fishless cycle but dont have an air pump/stone,am i stumped or any way round this, tank is approx 77 gal-thanks

Your filter will provide adequate circulation.
If you are doing a fishless cycle it will go quicker without plants.

faster w/o plants? i'm assuming you mean real ones?
Real ones are the only ones that count :D

Plants will utilise some of the nutrients that could be feeding the bacteria so they do slow down a fishless cycle. OTOH if cycling with fish, growing plants can give a bit of leeway as they take out some of the nitrites.
